"Because we don't know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. Yet everything happens a certain number of times, and a very small number, really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, some afternoon that's so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four or five time more. Perhaps not even that. How many times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless."
There's a lot of martial art schools in the Renton area but most of them seem to be Tae Kwon Do, which doesn't interest me, there's an MMA place not too far but it's about a $100 a month; which I can't afford, there's a Judo/boxing/submission wrestling place about a half hour bus ride away, I'm going to find out how much that is. I got in touch with some Goju folks in WA before I moved out, I'll be following up on it more this week.
Yesterday I used the fitness center that is with the apartment complex I now live in, it was bigger than I expected it to be, but it's mostly machines, I'd prefer to use more free weights but I'm going to take advantage of it anyways. I had a good light workout there yesterday; and it's quite close to my room, about fifty feet or some I'm guessing.
I'm looking forward to starting work next week, should be good. Tomorrow I'm probably going to downtown Seattle to explore.
